Taking a message
A: Hello, Barneys Garage.
B: Hello. Mr. Higgins,please.
A: He just stepped out. Can I take a message?
B: Oh yes, this is Penny's Pet Boutique. Please remind him that his appointment for his dog's
shampoo and cut is on Saturday morning at 11 am.
A: I'll make sure he receives the message.
B: That's fine.
A: Thanks for calling.
1.)   Can I take a message?
2.)   Oh yes, this is Penny's Pet Boutique.
3.)   I'll make sure he receives the message.
Make sure

Dialed the wrong number
A: Good morning. Craftsman Company. Can I help you?
B: Uh...yeah. Hi! Is Susie there?
A: You must have dialed the wrong number.
B: Oh. I'm sorry. But is this 321-9987?
A: Sorry. This is 321-9887.
B: I am really sorry.
A: It's ok.
1.)   Is Susie there?
2.)   You must have dialed the wrong number.
3.)   It's ok.
It'ok. That's ok.

Mr. Suzuki called
A: Good morning. Craftsman Company. Can I help you?

Is Mr. Johnson there?

Sb.is out 或 sb. isn't in这两个简洁句子都表示某人不在,at the moment 则表示“目前” 。

18. Will Friday be all right for you?
19. I'm sorry I can't manage it.
20. I'm going to call a plumber to come this afternoon.

I'd like to make an appointment.
I'd like to make an appointment.
I'd love to arrange a meeting with Dr. Johnson.
I want to make a date with you this Sunday.
I hope to have an appointment with Dr. Johnson.
Would you please make an appointment for me?
Would you please arrange a meeting for me with Dr. Johnson?
Let's make a date to go shopping next Friday.
Let's make a date....
Shall we have dinner together tomorrow night?
Would you like to go to a movie with me tonight?
Do you want to dance with me tonight?

I couldn't keep the appointment because I was sick.
I'm sick.
I'm busy.
I've got to get up very early tomorrow
I've got a date.
I'd like to change the appointment from Tuesday to Wednesday.
I couldn't keep the appointment because I was sick.
He wants to change his appointment from Monday to Wednesday.
I changed the appointment from Tuesday to Wednesday.
I'd like to confirm our meeting tomorrow afternoon.

Keep the appointment
取消约会:cancel the appointment
改变约会:change the appointment
确认约会:confirm the appointment / meeting
I'd like to make an appointment to see Mr. Cooper.
Oh, I'd love to, but my aunt is coming to see me at 8:00.
I don't want to...
That's very kind of you, but I have an appointment on Friday evening.
I'm going to call a plumber to come this afternoon.
Plumber:
